Air stone keeps splashing water on my plexiglass is that dangerous?
I have an air stone and splash water on my plexiglass that just above the plexiglass and is starting to get a little rusty kind of things about him is that the danger to my fish? I also have an ornament of aquarium that is a ship and its starting to lose its color and get a little old man is also dangerous for my fish?
methacrylate splashing water is really dangerous only cleaned once a week or so to prevent the buildup of calcium deposits. As to the ornamentation, usually are not dangerous, but probably not great either. the paint is dissolved in water and, unless you really keep your water changes, which may be allowing the chemicals that accumulate in the aquarium. make the ornament and look for some Nice natural aquarium rock and / or wood, are readily achievable in most pet stores, and are best in my humble opinion.
