Aquarium Canister
Can you have a cartridge filter with an aquarium?

Tell if the filter cartridge was next to an aquarium, would it still work or have to be under it?

It depends on your configuration, type of fish you have, where its plants are located, where the landscape is hard, and we want to achieve. Hope that helps. Ok, more specifically: If you have fish that like a decent power, then it will have to make sure it is running water directly from one end of the tank to the other, as quickly as possible. If you have fish that like a slow stream, then you may want to point your rod sterilization to the tank glass or other solid object, to create a small current. With sand, you will be sure not to keep picking up and blowing sand around the tank. I gravel and if I point my spray bar down to end with a big hole in the gravel and I can see the glass at the bottom of the tank! If you have plants will have to give them a slightly warm to grow, at least until it was established – otherwise their parent plants growing horizontally end (Actually not look bad if what you want. However, you fix things that you will end up with swirls and some dead spots where they will collect dirt behind the rocks, plants, corners, etc. will have to suck from time to time, or just shake the water to allow filter to take them. When the filter is positioned higher water flow was reduced significantly, while enabling him under the tank, the water flow will increase. For Rene the filter must be at least 2 feet below the tank to function properly even.
