Outlet Aquarium

Overkill wall outlet?
So I have an outlet with 2 plugs. One of these plugged into a surge protector and I'm running installation program fishktank .. this includes a filter 9W, Heater 200W and 48W of light. Was it exaggerated or increase the chances of a shortage or jump? Everything, but the light is on 24 hours a day. Would it be wrong to start a smaller one next to the aquarium using the same plugs?
The maximum power that can be plugged into a receptacle is 1440 watts total. No matter if you use a receptacle or both. Here's why. Code only allows any circuit to load 80% of its rated load. As you said once most devices are not all the time, however, not only should be a time for everyone to be in power beyond the capacity of circuit or permitted, and to make sure there is absolutely no danger of fire, the standard 80% should be followed. A 15 amp can only transport a total of 1,440 watts, which is 80% of 1800 watts by multiplying the volts, amps, 15 x 120 x 80% = 1440.
